If you follow me on Instagram you've already seen this photo, but you may not know, I actually chopped my hair myself. That's right, I took a pair of crafting scissors and hacked it off. Clump by clump I watched my locks fall to the ground and for once I didn't question my decision, I embraced it.
I touched on why I went so short in my Instagram post, "for a while after starting my blog and channel, I was so worried about looking my best and trying to mimic the best. I was trying to look to other bloggers for the newest trends, styles, decor, hair, you name it. Then I caught myself hating the content I was writing, hating the way I was feeling and hating trying to keep up. So I stopped, I stopped worrying, stopped searching for what’s ‘in’ and started staying true to myself." -INSTAGRAM: @brittanybanter
I feel so free and 100% me with this new hair, it's a marketing point for a new chapter! I wanted to take a quick moment to thank all of my followers and supporters! Thank you for loving me, for me. I'm so glad The Salty Darling can be a place where you're inspired and also stay true to yourself.
On that note I have two EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENTS!
1. We are joining in on the VLOGMAS fun this year! If you're not sure what 'vlogmas' is, it's where you post vlogs on your YouTube everyday in December! We will be sharing our behind the scenes for holiday fun, shopping, decorating, baking, cooking, travel, oh and did I mention we will be in NYC?! I'm so pumped!
2. I gave my husband the green light on Baby #2! He is holding the keys on this one, so when we get pregnant again it's all him. Sorry, there is no way to not make that not sound weird. My last pregnancy was a breeze and I'm wishing myself well for the next one too. As of right now it's looking like we will be actively trying in the next 9-12 months. EEEK! I may or may not already have names.
