I've quickly become obsessed with the gym and I'm so happy my slump it over! I'm not sure about you guys, but when I workout my entire mindset and body changes and I feel SOOO much better. On that note, I wanted to share 3 easy steps I took to get back into the swing of things.
1. JUST MOVE:
Find room in your daily routine to insert 15 minutes of exercise. For me, that was a morning walk with James and our two dogs, Apollo and Avery. I noticed that after I made that commitment, other small changes started to pop up in my head. For example, "I should be taking a vitamin," "I should jog with the dogs," "I should take care of my skin." All these small goals, made it easier to change my entire lifestyle. I am now going to the gym 3-4 times a week (along with eating healthy) and I feel great!
2. LET OTHERS HELP YOU:
Find a partner or an app to accompany you. I love gaining new tips from friends and technology. I keeps me on my toes and shows me that working out or eating healthy can be a new adventure. I love the app LIFESUM or MYFITNESSPAL
I was so terrible at just letting my body tell me it's time to go to bed. I would stay up on my phone or watch late night TV. I noticed myself dragging and adding more and more coffee to my breakfast. Finally, I said enough was enough and I now get 8+ hours of sleep! Such a game changer.
