I've always had a hard time finding a foundation that keeps my skin looking "flawless" (aka hides my discoloration and makes my skin appear smooth and approachable...) HOWEVER, Influenster just sent me a new primer and foundation from Covergirl, so I wanted to give you guys a review of their new products incase you're looking for an affordable drugstore base.
I must say, I am pleasantly surprise! My skin is combination, both dry in some spots and oily in others. I tend to gravitate toward liquidy foundations with oil. Makeup sticking to my dry patches, well... it's just not cute.
I recommend applying the primer and then applying the foundation with a damp beauty blender, I use the sponge linked HERE, it's $3.99 at Target. When I tried to apply the foundation with my fingers (we are traveling and I forgot my sponge) it was too cake like and drying. I also recommend applying with a loose translucent powder like this one HERE by Colore Science or THIS by Kat Von D.
Overall, the foundation is long wear in my opinion. If you can wear it to the park in 95 degree Florida humidity, you've found yourself a winner! I have been wearing the foundation, both inside and outside for a couple weeks and my pores are not clogged from the makeup, again a win.
I'll link my shade HERE (I'm shade M40.)
Hope you guys enjoy as well, I'm hooked and #MatteAboutTruBlend for sure!!
